Shaving a Cactus

Vanity: Cartoon cactus shaving with razor.

Vanity is very silly.

I don’t really understand why there’s so much pressure for women to shave off various areas of body hair. You only have to leave it for a few days and the the hair is back… your legs feeling like they’re covered in hundreds of tiny cactus spikes. Might as well save the money on razors and use the time to draw silly cartoons of cacti instead!

People are funny animals.

      1. I like Classical style for solo repertoire, and I love marches of all kinds. Crazy scale-like runs and allegro tempos are a ton of fun.Mostly if it sounds cool and runs off the fingers in a neat way I love it. I need to brush up on my scales again before the end of the semester. How about you?

      2. I’m classically trained and enjoy playing pieces by Bach, Debussy and Koehler, but I’ll always be a jazz musician at heart! I grew up listening to my dad and grandpa playing standards on piano and sax/flute late at night, as I was going to sleep. πŸ™‚

  1. I never understand what people mean when they say they are classically trained. Maybe because I am mostly self taught since I never could afford lessons until I was 18. Jazz is great though! I have to have my Alto Sax/Jazz fix once a week or else I will start to get sad. πŸ˜€ I am more of a wind ensemble/Concert Band flute player than a soloist though.

  2. G’day from down under, so pleased you came visiting because it has led me to your piece of cyberspace. I’m looking forward to having a regular giggle with your wacky and witty characters. Do you record on you tube?

    1. Thank you! Really glad it gave you a giggle (I’m quite often making silly amused faces when I draw these things). πŸ˜›

I’ve not got much up on youtube at the minute, but I’m planning to record some music videos to put up there – is there anything you’d like to see? πŸ™‚
